There, she taught college courses in psychology as well as pre-employment skills and life skills, and freelanced for three newspapers and several community magazines. Debbie&apos;s first book, The Same Difference, was called by The Midwest Review, “a realistic and unusual look at Asperger&apos;s Syndrome.” Her next book, Powers, was nominated as an ALA Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers and was given an honorable mention by the jury of the Sunburst Award, a Canadian award for speculative fiction. Her latest book, Choices, was released in September of this year and earned a starred review from Kirkus.
