Right Now! Coach:
Where MAYBE SOMEDAY becomes RIGHT NOW!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Right now) Hey! It's your tomorrow
(Right now) Come on, it's everything
(Right now) Catch your magic moment
Do it right here and now
It means everything
—Van Halen, Right Now
When I'm supporting a client in getting a
dream
launched or a big project done, I ask:
What can you do right now to make progress?
In the midst of writing A Generous
Presence, I had
a bunch of bad days. (You know a bad writing day
when cleaning the toilet with a toothbrush sounds
like a good time).
I'd ask myself, "What can you do right now
to make
progress on the book?" An action would always
emerge. Research. Mind map. Revise. Compile
the bibliography. When the day ended, I had moved
a bit closer to my goal: "maybe someday I'll finish
this book." That felt good.
In addition, the question, "What can you
do right now?",
connected me to the present--the right now. I worked
instead of worrying about some imaginary future or
chastising myself over past mistakes--two actions that
always bring suffering. Staying connected to the right
now brings peace.
I'm hoping you're working on your genius
project RIGHT NOW!
Ask yourself:
What can I do RIGHT NOW to make progress on this dream?
Then do it!
Your coach,
Rochelle
THANK YOU!!!
It takes a village to create a Web site. Truly! During the
past months many colleagues supported me in moving
forward RIGHT NOW. Without their push, this site would
probably still be a, "Maybe Someday." You know who you
are, and I thank you!
I am deeply grateful to Debbie Mahony and
her team
at Design Spinners for their creative design of my new site:
http://www.RightNowCoach.com.
Debbie listened to my all-over-the-map ideas and pulled
them together into an amazing, interactive site.
In 2001, Sue Pellant Moore created
LifeRhyme Coaching--
my Web home for the past six years. She made my first
steps into the world wide web less scary and has been a
wonderful, steady host. Thanks! Visit her online at
